Case Study No. 1 - Motoring Offence
Mr W was charged with a motoring offence after being caught by the police carrying out a high speed wheelie on his motorcycle. His occupation was sales and he needed his licence for work, unfortunately this incident resulted in him losing his licence and ultimately his job. He called Health Assured in the first instance for legal information regarding the type of offence. Health Assured were also able to offer emotional support following the trial and him losing his job.
Case Study No. 2 - Social Anxiety
Following a family bereavement Mrs T began to suffer from agoraphobia and social anxiety, something which she had not suffered from before. She called Health Assured seeking emotional support and help for the anxiety. Following initial support and after being assessed, structured telephone counselling was arranged which continued to support her emotionally and helped her overcome the anxiety.
Case Study No. 3 - Domestic Dispute
Mr G worked as a lorry driver for a haulage firm and called Health Assured whilst at a motorway service station. He had been involved in a domestic dispute with his partner that morning and was clearly very upset and needed to talk to someone. Health Assured were able to listen to the problem and engage with Mr G to help him work through the issue. Telephone counselling was arranged for Mr G and he was also directed to the On-line Health Portal, which he accessed and reported back to Health Assured it was most useful in supporting him.
Case Study No. 4 - Overseas Travel Medical Information
Mrs T was looking forward to an exotic holiday with her family but was unsure of the inoculations required when visiting tropical climates. She called the telephone helpline and Health Assured were able to give her information regarding the inoculations in terms of what the family needed to be protected against, when the inoculation needed to be administered and any potential side effects. Mrs T was very grateful she was able to access this information quickly and efficiently as the holiday was rapidly approaching.
Case Study No. 5 - Witnessed Assault
Miss C witnessed an assault (non-sexual) whilst on her way home from work. Miss C didn’t drive and used public transport for her commuting. She became uncomfortable when travelling, fearing for her own safety. She called Health Assured and following an assessment, structured telephone counselling was arranged which provided her with emotional support and helped her overcome her fears.
