What is CBT Counselling?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of talking therapy (or psychotherapy) which focuses on treating negative thoughts and behaviours. We can use it as a long-term and short-term treatment for mental health issues. Our counsellors recommend it on a case-by-case basis to help individuals learn more about their unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
Provided online by SilverCloud, our digital CBT platform is predominantly self-guided and helps individuals learn more about their thoughts, behaviours, feelings and how to manage them better.

How can businesses benefit from access to online CBT?
By having access to virtual CBT services, staff can seek the support they need. It can help mitigate costly short and long-term absences, whilst improving productivity as treatment progresses. Businesses benefit in the long run by reducing the likelihood of costs associated with sick pay, turnover and outsourcing.

cCBT for businesses and employees
Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) – or virtual CBT - is often self-led and module based. It provides cognitive intervention techniques to help individuals navigate challenging feelings and behaviours. The platform we use is called SilverCloud – a trusted platform by the NHS, Health and Safety Executive and numerous corporate businesses.
Service users will be supported by a counsellor for the first 6 weeks of the course and will be able to access the coures for up to a year.

How does SilverCloud work?
SilverCloud is an online CBT app that provides CBT for employers and their people. Accessing cCBT through HA | Wisdom Wellbeing
No matter which tier you have with us, we can refer you or an individual within your organisation to online short-term CBT. Designed to support those with mild to moderate poor mental health, an employee is only referred to cCCBT when one of our qualified counsellors deems it clinically appropriate.
If referred, you will be matched with a counsellor, who will be your SilverCloud supporter. The counsellor will check in once a week, typically on the same day of the week, and will provide written, remote guidance and support while you work through the SilverCloud cCBT programme.
