When pressure builds, it’s easy to focus on what’s going wrong. Deadlines, conflict, health worries and constant change can cloud our progress and perspective. Over time, this negativity bias doesn’t just affect our mood, it increases stress, reduces resilience, and raises the risk of absences and burnout.
That’s why we’ve introduced Positive You Journal, a new feature in the Wisdom app designed to help individuals actively notice, reflect on and reinforce what’s going well, even on demanding days.
Grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, Positive You Journal supports healthier thinking patterns, positive habit-building and long-term emotional resilience.
Positive You Journal explained
The Positive You Journal is a simple, guided journaling feature inside the Wisdom app.
Each day, individuals can:
• Log something positive that happened, big or small
• Assign how it made them feel, to link the experience to an emotion (or series of)
• Edit and expand their entry at any time, adding new moments from that day whenever they’d like
Over time, entries are displayed in a calendar view, allowing users to clearly see how often they’re engaging with positive reflection. This visual aid helps turn daily reflection into a positive habit. Individuals can also rest assured that their entries are completely anonymised.
A clinically grounded tool for healthier habits
Positive You Journal is intentionally designed to feel achievable, even on difficult days.
People don’t need to write paragraphs. A few words are more than enough. Over time, that consistency strengthens emotional awareness and reinforces healthier thinking patterns without overwhelming them.
For organisations, this matters. Preventative, low-friction tools can help empower your people to take their wellbeing into their own hands.
Why positive reflection matters
CBT shows us that thoughts, feelings and behaviours are closely connected. When individuals consistently notice positive moments (however small) they train their brain to balance stress responses with evidence of progress, safety and capability.
In time, this supports:
• Improved resilience
• Improved problem-solving
• Greater engagement and motivation
• Stronger coping skills under pressure
