A quarter say poor mental health is due to issues at work
Just over half (53%) of employees who disclosed poor mental health at work felt supported by their employer, a survey has found.
The poll of 15,022 employees from 29 organisations in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index also found 72% of those who disclosed poor mental health said they had been made aware of support tools such as employee assistance programmes (EAPs), counselling, staff support network or informal buddying systems.
Over half (56%) were offered reasonable adjustments or support measures, such as changes to hours worked or the nature of some of their duties.
Just over one in 10 employees said their mental health was poor and, of those, a quarter (26%) said that this was due to problems at work.
