Each November sees the return of Movember to raise awareness in aid of Men’s health.
Men’s health encompasses mental health, as well as male cancers such as prostate and testicular. The impact of prostate and testicular cancer on lives is substantial; with prostate cancer being the second most common cancer in men worldwide and the number of cases is expected to almost double to 1.7 million cases by 2030.
From humble beginnings in Australia in 2003, the Movember movement has grown to become a truly global following, inspiring annual support from over 5 million people around the world.
Movember's success can largely be attributed to the strength of the global community. Regardless of the city in which we live, we're part of something bigger, united by a commitment to help change the face of men’s health. Movember is ranked in the world’s top 100 best NGOs (charity) by the Global Journal based on three main criteria: impact, innovation and sustainability.
So how can you support? The concept is simple, men can take part to grow their own moustache for the 30 days of November, all the while posting regular photos on to social media raising funds and awareness.
‘A moustache is nature's billboard. Use it to start a conversation about men's health this Movember.’
